Very seldom will I make the same thing twice and have it turn out the same both times. I usually try to make it better, eventually messing it up entirely. However, here's a recipe that is worth sticking to exactly. I found it on the Internet, but can't remember where.

As I have more, I'll post them.

BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP

Ingredients:

2 lb. fresh jumbo shrimp
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup ketchup
4-5 dashes hot pepper sauce (more if desired)
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup oil
1/2 lb. bacon (or more if desired)
Lemon wedges

Directions:

The larger the shrimp, the easier they are to work with. Shell and devein uncooked shrimp. In a bowl, mix next 5 ingredients. Marinate shrimp in mixture 30 minutes to 1 hour at room temp. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 1 hour before grilling. Cut bacon into thirds or halves, depending on size of shrip and wrap bacon around shrimp 1 ½ or 2 times. Thread onto skewers. Grill until bacon is crisp, 10 to 12 minutes Turn several times and brush with reserved marinade. Bacon dripping will cause the grill to flare up, so keep the water spritzer handy. Serve promptly with lemon wedges.
